Geologists have discovered a big phosphorus deposit in Yichang City, Hubei Province, central China with proved resources reaching 171 million tons and potential economic value of CNY 30 billion.
The average tenor of the phosphorus deposit is believed to surpass 25%.
Phosphates are important chemical materials, whose global proved resources totaled 65 billion tons. The figure in China is only next to Morocco, with average tenor hitting 17%.
