The special edition of the camouflaged AR Drone 2.0 model comes with Parrot's GPS Flight Recorder.

Parrot has revealed the latest addition to its range of AR Drones with the launch of the limited edition AR Drone 2.0 GPS Edition.

The special edition of the camouflaged AR Drone 2.0 model comes with Parrot's GPS Flight Recorder.

Usually priced at £99.99, the flight recorder 'turns into a real black box when used with the AR Drone 2.0.'

The GPS can save more than 350 flight parameters including the exact position of the quadricopter throughout each flight.

The addition will also act to stabilise the drone's flight when flown more than six meters high.

Equipped with a 4Go Flash Memory, the GPs Flight Recorder Module can also record approximately two hours of HD video, which can then be shared via the AR Drone Academy.

The GPS flight recorder even allows the Drone to be programmed to fly itself to a destination, and then return to base at the flick of a switch.

With a suggested retail price of £319.99 the Parrot AR Drone 2.0 GPS Edition is available from UK distributor, Flying Toys.

Flying Toys' David Rawlins, said: "By using the new Parrot Flight Recorder, the AR.Drone 2.0 became the world's first flying toy with on-board GPS.

"This innovative accessory improves the stability and facilities of the quadricopter, records more than 350 flight settings, and is actually the black box of the AR.Drone 2.0.

"Featuring a high definition camera with a video recording facility, plus flight data sharing, a patented piloting mode, and an innovative pressure sensor for increased stability at any altitude, Parrot's amazing AR.Drone 2.0 GPS Edition quadricopter can even perform four axis flips on command."
