Egyptian President Abdelfattah al Sisi met with the Special Envoy of President Xi Jinping and Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng who attended the Egyptian Economic Development Conference in Sharm el Sheikh on March 14.
Gao conveyed Xi’s oral message to Sisi, reiterating that China attached importance to and support Egypt to develop economy and improve people’s livelihood.
Sisi expressed his cordial greetings and best wishes to President Xi Jinping through Gao, and thanked President Xi for dispatching the minister of commerce as the special envoy to attend the economic development conference and deliver the speech, which, he stressed that, fully reflected China’s great support to Egypt’s economic development, and conveyed the active signal of consolidating traditional friendship and strengthening practical cooperation to the Egyptian people and the international community. Sisi welcomed more Chinese enterprises to take part in the construction in Egypt, and strengthen cooperation in areas like infrastructure.
Gao led the Chinese government economic and trade delegation to Sharm el Sheikh on March 13, attended the Egyptian economic development conference and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.
