At the night of August 26 to August 27, 2015, Dominica was hit by the tropical storm “Erika”. The sustaining high wind and rainstorm hit heavily the whole island of Dominica with most of the rivers flooding, many mountains sliding, causing certain casualties and financial losses. According to the requirements of various parties, and in order to express the condolence and supports of the Chinese government and people to the Dominica government and people, the Chinese government decided to provide the Dominica government with the emergency humanitarian assistance of US$ 300 thousand in cash, in order to help various parties with the disaster relief work.
The Chinese government will, according to the requirements and changes of the disaster, continue to provide help within its ability, to support the people of Dominica to rebuild their home.
