The Building Energy Consumption Takes as High as 35 Percent of Whole Energy Consumption

The building energy consumption takes as high as 35 percent of whole energy consumption which is a great waste of energy and limited the sustainable development. Windows and doors and glass curtain wall are the most actively part of heat conduction and thermal diffusion. So, to improve the heat insulation of doors and windows is the most effective way to improve building energy-saving level. And the glass pays an important role in this which is widely recognized by the whole glass industry.

On the 10th China Doors and Windows Exhibition on November 23 to 25, without any doubt, the energy-saving glass became the highlight of the exhibition. How to let the low-e glass enter into ordinary families is till a problem. The high cost is one of the prime reasons. In fact, accounted as 100 square meters house, using low-e glass will not cost much money as people expect. It is the matter of energy-saving concept.  On the other hand, the energy-saving policy is also an obstruction. The public building has a high standard than residential buildings, so the developers have to adopt low-e glass to meet these standards. But when checking and accepting, it is valued as a whole and they don’t check the glass particularly which also prevents the popularization of low-e glass.

The policy should have a clear and compulsory regulation then the low-e glass will be fully applied.
