Minister of Ministry of Finance,Xie Xuren said in a release that,under the situation of shortage in domestic demand,the ministry will support consumption expanding of environmental protection products and increase investment in energy conservation and environmental protection field.Development of unconventional oil&gas resources as coalbed methane and shale gas are the key projects,other renewable energy sources including wind and PV power generation will also get support.Ministry of Finance will also actively promote reform of environmental tax and fee,choose tax items with mature technical standard to collect the environmental protection tax.
Share of energy conservation and environmental protection products in the total consumption is still rather low,promotion potential of the products is huge and sustainable.It's expected that energy-efficient appliances expanding policy will drive consumer demand of 450 billion RMB,equal to energy-saving ability of 11.7 million tons standard coal.The Ministry of Finance will further improve prior purchasing and compulsory purchase system of environmental protection products,to give full play to demonstration guidance function of the government procurement.
