Antrim Borough Council Announced The Launch of New Glass Recycling Policy

Ireland-based Antrim Borough Council, part of the arc21 waste management group, has announced the launch of new glass recycling policy.

As part of the recycling process, the 100% recyclable metal caps and lids on glass bottles and jars can be sorted and recovered.

New products such as bottle tops, drink cans can be made by recycling the metal from glass bottles and jars.

For the purpose of recycling, the glass recycling points are situated at the household recycling centres that are located at Newpark, Randalstown and Crumlin.

The European Aluminium Foil Association Closure Group, the Aluminium Packaging Recycling Organisation as well as British Glass are funding the campaign, which is said to be organized in conjunction with them.

Formally incorporated and established in 2003, arc21 represents 11 councils in the east of the Province.
