On August 20, the first meeting of the Economic and Trade Cooperation Sub-Committee of China-Belarus Governmental Cooperation Committee and the fifth meeting of the Coordination Working Team of China-Belarus Industrial Park was held in Beijing. The meeting was jointly presided over by China International Trade Negotiation Representative and Vice Minister of Ministry of Commerce Zhong Shan and Belarusian Economic Minister Vladimir I. Zinovsky. The meeting was attended by China International Trade Deputy Representative Zhang Xiangchen, Assistant Minister Zhang Ji, Deputy Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council Huang Danhua, Department Officials of Belarusian Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Construction, as well as representatives of the related financial organizations and local places of the two countries.
Both parties agreed that President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Belarus in May 2015 has gained great economic and trade achievements, comprehensively bolstering the bilateral trade and investment cooperation, as well as the local practical cooperation. It is of great significance to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership of the two countries. The two parties reached consensus on promoting the construction of China-Belarus Industrial Park, implementing China’s financing supports and non-reimbursable assistance to Belarus and mapping the bilateral local economic and trade cooperation.
The two parties confirmed the development goals and tasks scheduled before the end of 2015 and the end of 2016, and agreed to continue the close cooperation, and to steadily complete the settled goals of the time nodes. The aim is to make the industrial park a pearl on the Silk Road Economic Belt and an example of bilateral reciprocal cooperation.
After the meeting, Zhong Shan and Vladimir I. Zinovsky jointly signed the Minutes of the First Meeting of the Economic and Trade Cooperation Sub-Committee of China-Belarus Governmental Cooperation Committee and the Minutes of the Fifth Meeting of the Coordination Working Team of China-Belarus Industrial Park. During the meeting, the Silk Road Fund and the official of Belarusian Economic Ministry signed the Memorandum of Cooperation jointly.
