“The Great British Brands Festival”, jointly hosted by the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, the China-Britain Business Council, the UK Trade and Investment and the Foreign Trade and Economic Commission of Chongqing was solemnly opened in the Chongqing Rongheng•Yingjia Center on April 24. The Consul-General of British Consulate General in Chongqing Tina Redshaw, the Deputy Secretary General of the People’s Government of Chongqing Wang Yi, the Executive Director of China-Britain Business Council Jeff Astle and the Deputy Director of the Foreign Trade and Economic Commission of Chongqing Li Shirong attended the opening ceremony. The Deputy Director of the Foreign Trade Development Bureau Jia Guoyong attended and addressed the opening ceremony.
“The Great British Brands Festivals” will be held in such key cities as Chongqing, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou in 2015. This Festival in Chongqing is the first one in the series of activities in the whole year, attracting more than 30 well-known British enterprises to participate in the exhibition. More Chinese consumers will have opportunities to know about British brands and culture in a close range by exhibition and publicity.
