According to the monitoring of MOFCOM, both the prices of farm produce and that of production means in circulation in 36 large and medium-sized cities dropped slightly last week (September 21–September 27).
Last week, the average price of 18 kinds of vegetable was down 2.9% compared with that of the previous week, with the price of lettuce, rape and cucumber down 12.9%, 11.6% and 9.3% respectively. The price of meat fluctuated slightly, with the price of pork down 0.6%, beef down 0.3%, but mutton up 0.4%. The prices of poultry and egg also fluctuated, with that of egg down 0.7% and that of chicken up 0.2%. The price of grain remained steady, with the price of rice up 0.2% and that of flour remaining the same as that of the previous week. The price of edible oil was up slightly, with that of peanut oil and rapeseed oil up 0.6% and 0.1% respectively, and that of soybean oil remaining steady. The price of aquatic products was up 0.4%, with the prices of chub, crucian and grass carp up 1.4%, 0.8% and 0.7% respectively.
Last week, the price of nonferrous metal was down 2.8% compared with that of the previous week, among which, the price of zinc, copper, tin, nickel, aluminum and lead was down 4.5%, 4.4%, 1.4%, 1.2%, 0.8% and 0.3% respectively. The price of rubber was down 0.9%, with that of synthetic rubber and natural rubber down 1.4% and 0.4% respectively. The price of basic chemical raw materials was down 0.6%, with that of methyl alcohol and sulfuric acid down 1% and 0.9% respectively. The price of steel was down 0.4%, with that of hot rolling common thin plate and common medium plate down 1% and 0.9% respectively. The price of chemical fertilizer was down 0.2%, with that of urea down 0.4%, NPK up 0.1%, and kalium chloratum and DAP remaining steady. The price of coal was generally steady, with that of blind coal down 0.1%, coking coal up 0.2% and steam coal remaining the same as that of the previous week.
