On April 24, 2015, the first work group meeting of the joint feasibility study of China-Georgia Free Trade Zone was held. The two parties exchanged in-depth views on the working mechanism and division of work of the joint feasibility study, the framework and main contents of the study report, and the next step of the work of the feasibility study.
In recent years, the China-Georgia economic and trade relation has enjoyed a sustainable and healthy development. In 2014, the bilateral trade reached US$ 960 million, and China’s non-financial direct investment to Georgia was US$ 530 million. China has become the third trade partner and the largest investment source for Georgia.
