Naftogaz Ukrainy Is to Transfer State Run Combined Heat and Power Plants to Management

National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy in a month is to transfer state run combined heat and power plants to the management of the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine.

The decision is stipulated in cabinet resolution No. 1066 of November 21st 2012 which has been posted on the government's Web site.

According to the document, this affects the Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Mykolaiv and Kryvy Rih combined heat and power plants, the Zuyivska experimental combined heat and power plant and Crimean generating systems.

As reported, in April 2012, Mr Viktor Yanukovych president of Ukraine signed a law that lifted a ban on the privatization of 13 large combined heat and power plants to realize a program for their technical re equipment and attracting non-state investment via their transfer to leasing or concession.
