A 7.5 magnitude aftershock struck Nepal on May 12. In accordance with the disaster progress and the Nepal government’s needs, to help the Nepal side fight against the secondary disaster and do the relief work well, the Chinese government decides to provide the third round of relief supplies to the earthquake area in Nepal.
The third round of relief supplies mainly include waterproof tarpaulin, tents, and family health package with a combined value of RMB80,000,000. The Ministry of Commerce has worked with the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the National Health and Family Planning Commission and the Red Cross Society of China to collect goods and make transport plan and strive to ship them to Katmandu, the capital city of Nepal on an early date.
The Chinese government has provided Nepal with two rounds of emergency humanitarian assistance so far.
