The Economic Seminar on the 45th Anniversary of Establishment of Chile-China Diplomatic Relation, jointly hosted by Chinese Ministry of Commerce and Chile Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was successfully held in San Diego on May 26, 2015. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Chilean President Michelle Bachelet attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Chinese Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng accompanied Premier Li and made a speech at the meeting.
The seminar aimed to strengthen Chile-China communication and cooperation in finance, industrial investment, equipment manufacturing, infrastructure construction, educational, scientific, technological and cultural areas. About 500 representatives from Chinese and Chilean governmental departments and business circle attended the meeting. After the seminar, three industrial seminars in finance and infrastructure, agriculture and trade, and energy areas were held and enterprises from China and Chile had extensive talks.
The seminar was undertaken by the Trade Development Bureau and Chilean National Industry Association,director-general of China’s Trade Development Bureau Sun Chenghai also attended the seminar and delivered a welcome speech.
