Official of The Foreign Assistance Department of The Ministry of Commerce Makes Comments on China’s Emergency Aid Materials for Afghanistan’s Earthquake Disaster

On November 2, the official of the Foreign Assistance Department of the Ministry of Commerce made comments on the emergency aid materials provided by the Chinese government to Afghanistan for combating the earthquake. On October 26, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit the Northeastern region of Afghanistan, causing serious casualties and financial losses. To express the condolence and support of the government and its people to the Afghanistan government and people, the Chinese government decided to provide a batch of emergency aid materials valued RMB 10 million to Afghanistan.

The above earthquake relief materials will be shipped by air from the Pudong Airport, Shanghai, at 2 a.m. on November 3 Beijing time, and will arrive at the capital of Afghanistan Kabul at 14 p.m. on the same day. The materials mainly include 300 tents, 2,000 blankets and 60 electric generators.

China will keep a close connection with Afghanistan and continue to provide necessity help to Afghanistan as far as it could, according to the requirements of Afghanistan..
