On the morning of July 8, 2015, the forum “China Russia Practical Cooperation Facing the World” of the 6th Russia International Industry Fair INNOPROM was held in Yekaterinburg, Russia. China International Trade Representative and Vice Minister Zhong Shan, who accompanied the Vice Premier Wang Yang visiting Russia, attended the forum and made a speech. The Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov attended the forum and delivered a speech. Representatives of the industrial and commercial circle and the enterprises circle of both China and Russia also attended the forum.
Zhong said that, the practical cooperation between China and Russia enjoyed a solid foundation and a bright prospect. Firstly, China and Russia enjoyed a political relation with high mutual trust. Within more than two years, the meetings between President Xi Jinping and President Putin reached 11 times, and the leaders of the two countries will meet again in UFA, which represents the high-level of China-Russia relation. The close political relation is the strong backup force of the bilateral economic and trade cooperation. Secondly, the two countries enjoy an economic relation with high complementarity. China and Russia are each other’s natural cooperation partner with their own advantages, and their mutual demands in markets, capital, technology, resources and talents. Thirdly, the level of the bilateral cooperation is continuously promoted. A batch of cooperation of strategic projects like high-speed rail, nuclear energy, heavy helicopter, wide-bodied airliner and satellite navigation have gained active progress, representing that the quality of the bilateral economic and trade relation has been obviously promoted with strong momentum in the future development. Fourthly, the cooperation will of the enterprises of the two countries is becoming even stronger. More and more enterprises of the two countries are negotiating for cooperation, exchanging information and thoughts, and seeking for business opportunities.
Zhong pointed out that the visit of Vice Premier Wang to Russia, leading a delegation and exchanging views with Russia on the key issues on bilateral practical cooperation, has gained some new consensus and achievements. The two parties agreed that, under the new situation of profound changes of international political and economic patterns, the common interests and mutual demands between China and Russia have been increased, and the will for cooperation among enterprises has been even stronger. The two parties are willing to promote the comprehensive cooperation in longer term and with more practical measures in order to benefit the people of the two countries. Firstly, the cultivation of new power of trade growth will be accelerated; secondly, the huge potential of the two-way investment and cooperation will be fully explored; thirdly, the two countries will join hands to combat international financial risks; fourthly, the progress of regional economic cooperation will be speeded up.
Zhong Shan stressed that China-Russia practical cooperation is facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities at present. As long as the two parties fortify the confidence and unite the forces, the bilateral practical cooperation will be surely promoted to a new high.
