Where to use a ceiling fan?
- Ceiling fans can be useful in just about every room in the house
- Commercial or industrial ceiling fans – used in offices, factories or industries
- Outdoor spaces – patios, porches, garages, although not waterproof, outdoor fans are made of materials which can withstand cold, heat and humidity.
- Pull-chain/pull-cord control – the most common method of operation for household fans. Typically featuring three speeds: high, medium, and low.
- Variable speed control- a dial mounted on the fan or the wall, similar to a wall – mounted dimmer switch for lighting. It can be turned in either direction, controlling the speed at which the blades rotate.
- Wall-mounted digital control – the fan’s functions are controlled by a wall mounted digital device, including the on/off status, speed, direction of rotation, and any attached light fixtures.
- Wireless remote control - a hand-held remote that transmits radio frequency or an infrared control signal to a receiver unit installed in the fan.
