The door lock designer and manufacturer Kwikset has a new toy out on the market. Jumping on the band wagon of digital controls Kwikset has stepped it up by allowing homeowners to control their security and door locks via their i-phone.

The new Kevo door lock works similarly to the way some of the new keyless cars work. The Prius for example, you can start your car with just the push of a button as long as your digital key is in your pocket. Kevo works with a similar concept. When you are ready to step inside your house, just make sure that your i-Phone is in your pocket or purse, then simply tap the Kevo lock, and you're in.

Kevo is currently compatible with the i-Phone 4 & 5. ?And with the use of the mobile i-phone app, you can now send an e-key to your friends or family via the app on their i-Phone.
