A new swimming aid that doubles up as a toy for pre-school children has launched.
Part fin and part wing, the Fings product from Splash About supports the child in a natural swimming position.
Its side 'wings' wrap around the child's body, but leaves their arms and legs free to move and splash around.
"We believe Fings will become a must-have for water babies and budding swimmers everywhere," said Bernadette Spofforth, MD of Splash About.
"Fings is not a fin and it's not wings, but an innovative combination of the two. Unlike traditional floats, noodles or woggles which rely on the child holding on or armbands which can be restrictive, Fings is specifically designed to support both babies and children comfortably and securely in the water, leaving them free to move about and most of all, have fun.
"Fings is a swimming aid and great water toy rolled into one."
Fings is made from durable, closed cell foam. It is available in three sizes: small (three to 18 months), medium (18 months to three years) and large (three to six years).
Fings complies to the stringent toy testing CE EN71 parts 1, 2 & 3.
Splash About was formed in 2001. It's a designer and manufacturer of safety swimwear and sun protection products created especially for babies and children.
