The Japanese based design studio YStudio has transformed vintage cameras into photogenic table lamps in their series entitled Reborn. These found objects were inspired by leftover, discarded cameras that had been tossed aside for new technology driven cameras. In hopes of helping everyday consumers to acknowledge product waste and quality craftsmanship, we can now ask "How can a design simply be discarded?"

They have given new life to non-reapairable film cameras via modern table lamps. Using the camera as both the shade and the light source, these may be just enough to make viewers take a photo of this reborn camera's new purpose.
