Chandeliers are permanent, except this all wax Candeleir from the designer Takeshi Miyakawa. This candle wax chandelier encompasses a classical design with a temporary twist, the components will drip and completely expire after the hot wax of the Candeleir entirely drips away. It took the artist ten weeks to cast and mold the parts needed to assemble these chandeliers.
Unlit and from afar this may look like a regular chandelier but once lit and the wax starts to melt things start to change. And watch out below, because this was not made with dripless wax, in fact it is said that the wax will drip down onto just about anything (see the picture above). The chandeliers were originally created for the Creatomatic show at New York’s Eyebeam Gallery.
