AIA Will Celebrate The Centennial of The Sacramento Native Designer Ray Eames

AIA (American Institute of Architects) will be celebrating the centennial of the infamous ?Sacramento native designer Ray Eames. During the?event a?special?presentation of films from the archives of the Eames Office will be shown. Including a Q & A with Llisa Demetrios, granddaughter of Ray Eames and Archivist of Eames Office, refreshments by Hot Italian restaurant and a tour of The California Museum's exhibit, "Ray Eames: A Century of Modern Design."

This exhibit is the first one of its kind to explore Ray's early life and her less popular works prior to meeting her other half, Charles Eames in 1941. Many know Ray for her work with Charles Eames, but what about her work before that? Join this feature presentation as it gives the public a personal look at Ray's early life that will include over 100 original works created by Charles and Ray.
