The installation is called "Back to Front",? an amazing undertaking that consists of multiple monolithic granite slabs, which light up or fade as the day turns to night or as weather changes from brightness to cloudiness.
The monoliths are able to detect static shadows from buildings, surroundings, and changes in weather resulting from different times of day and seasonal changes, as well as dynamic movement from nearby people and trees. The shadows are transformed by sensors to transfer animated silhouettes on each of the monoliths. The end result is sure to please and mesmerize.
Jason Bruges Studio, formed in April 2002, design and build interactive installations across 3 key sectors. These sectors include architecture, art and brands.
