Earth day is 4-22! Do something green for your kitty!
Skip the toys in the store and try are some great cat toys from recycled items around your home.
1) Balled up Paper Bills - A great toy for your cat but also satisfying to watch your kitty smack those bills we all dislike around your home.
2) Milk Rings - Cats just love to chase milk carton rings around the kitchen floor. If you have never tried it, your kitty is missing out!
3) Paper Grocery Bags - Before you recycle these, let your kitties play with them. Cats love to run inside and hide out. Give a little scratch on the back of the bag when your kitty is inside and watch them go crazy. Make sure to cut off the handles before giving the bag to your kitty.
4) Cardboard Boxes - Much like paper bags these are great hiding places for cats to investigate. You can turn a box upside down and cut a hole big enough for a cat entrance. Throw some toys and catnip in the new kitty home. Your cat just won't be able to resist going inside.
5) Catnip "Mice" - Baby socks filled with catnip and sewn shut make great fake mice. Your cat will love to hunt these around the house. You may even catch your cat carrying one around in its mouth.
6) String or Thin Rope - Drag some rope or string across the floor and watch your cat attack. Just make sure to pick this one up when playtime is over. Cats shouldn't be left unattended with string.
