Dining Room Chandeliers have become increasingly popular for those people who entertain guests in their home. To pick the best size for your dining room chandelier, there are two different rules, depending on if you have a table:
No Table:
Measure the length and width of your room, in feet.
Then add those numbers together.
That sum is the number of inches the width of the chandelier
will be.
The chandelier should be at least 4' away from the walls.

With Table:
Size your chandelier half of the width of your table.
Seats at Dining Table: | Chandelier Width: |
4 - 6 people | 20" - 24" |
6 - 8 people | 25" - 29" |
8 - 10 people | 30" - 36" |
For smaller spaces, consider mini chandelier lights
You can also double up your lighting on mini chandeliers in larger spaces.
It will be about 30" - 32" above the table top, and cannot not be in the way of anyone sitting at the table.
The chandelier should be at least 4' away from the walls.
For all chandeliers:
With a two story room, the chandelier should hang 10' to 11' above the floor.
If you are considering Crystal Chandeliers for your high end home, Swarovski Crystal Chandeliers are the highest quality chandeliers available.
It is best to match the color on the chandelier to work with the rest of the room. If you have a lot of different finishes in the room, a good choice may be satin nickel or black chandeliers.
Satin Nickel chandeliers are usually a good choice with a contemporary room.
Consider a black chandelier with a modern styled room or home.
