The multi media artist Yonel Lebovici, also known as Lebo, created art, lighting and furniture during a period when design was in the midst of some heavy changes. Lebovici was born in 1937 and attended school in the 1950's for aeronautics. However his love for lighting and product design pushed him into the wide world of art and design. His passion for shiny metals combined with his brief stint in the aeronautics industry prompted his own style to shine through.

Lebovici said, "I do not like to be bored, or to bore others. I love and want easy, pleasant playful things and of which the utility, in the end, will depend on the imagination and the desires of the individual." Many of Lebovici's objects are large and sculptural and made from metal or plastic.?Lebovici lived a long life and created many beautiful sculptures, however he passed away at the age of 60 in 1998. A demand for his limited vintage pieces is growing and it has become harder to find his work.
