Chris King Precision Components has restructured its sales model and increased production of its Cielo high-end steel bike line so that any authorized Chris King dealer can begin stocking and selling the framesets. The company previously had a separate dealer process for Cielo, said Kyle von Hoetzendorff, communications at Chris King.
With new positions added in frame production, delivery times that had stretched out to as long 14 weeks on some models should come down to about eight weeks across the eight-model line. “That’s what we were always aiming for, but now we’re at the level where we feel we can support that,” von Hoetzendorff said.
All Cielo framesets are handmade in Chris King’s hometown of Portland, Oregon, and the line includes touring, road race, ‘cross and mountain models. The framesets are currently sold at fewer than 20 dealers.
Dealers interested in stocking Cielo should contact their Chris King customer sales rep.
