Twitter's Pounding Messages Run Day and Night,So Why Not Have a Light That Can Keep up

The independent designer Sarah Turner has designed a completely unique chandelier made of 562 reused plastic bottles, hundreds of LED lights and yes, a live Twitter feed. Twitter's pounding messages run day and night, so why not have a light that can keep up. Side by side, Turner and the design company Sennep created a large tweet-reactive social media ornament of light. The Twitter Ball flashes a rainbow of select colors when specially chosen words are found on the user's Twitter feed.

The Twitter Ball was originally designed to be used as a large illuminated holiday ornament that works with Twitter messgaes. And each time the entire message from Cohn & Wolfe's holiday message were retweeted, the team donated $1 to Project Kaisei. Project Kaisei is?a non-profit organization that researches new ways to reduce and reuse discarded plastics. To see the Twitter Ball in action watch the video below.
