The design team at Pink+Gruen created an unforgettable lighting experience for their evening visitors late one night during Germany’s 2012 Fusion Festival. These visitors found more than just darkness that night, they found a large faux tree with surrealistic flickering colored lighting.

The Pixl Tree (aka the Crystal Tree), is a colorful light installation made from a specially designed LED supermodular light system called PIXL SYS. This special lighting system uses DMX controllable LEDs, and allows for an exceptionally wide range of color variations and layouts. It was made to control this hanging installation’s diamond-shaped lighting module, and create one of the most magical tree lighting experiences ever.
