This illuminated LED rope chandelier was created for the newly renovated Château Borély in Marseille, France by a very talented French designer by the name of Mathieu Lehanneur. Using curved grouped glass tubes with strips of LEDs tucked inside, they seem to almost be part of the chateau’s ceiling.
The surreal effect of this lighting design allows for one’s imagination to get all tied up in the hows and whys of this chandelier’s unique design. But as Lehanneur explains, ”It is not an object. It is not a light fitting. It is the light itself that seems to live and circulate in the entrance space, as if stitched onto the building itself.”
