Hotel California
Sight Unseen knocked it out of the park with Hotel California (cue song), an exhibition featuring some of the best designers from, you guessed it, California. The designers were chosen by Monica Khemsurov and Jill Singer, editors and Noho Design District curators, along with Brooks Hudson Thomas of Specific Merchandise, and feature everything from furniture, lighting, and objects.

Sonos Listening Library
A room in the hotel housed the Sonos Listening Library that displayed one-of-a-kind furniture and pieces in addition to Sonos speakers. The custom "Soundaliera"(above), designed by Lindsey Adelman and Kiel Mead, was the clear winner in the room. The piece not only looked great, but it sounded great as well. It was even controlled by an iPad (photo below)!
Other designers and studios showcasing work in the Sonos Listening Library included: Taylor Mckenzie-Veal, Evan Dublin, Peter Oyler, Brendan Timmins, Tim Richartz, Ashira Isreal, Reed Wilson, Henry Julier, Ian Geoghegan, Michael Cummings, and Hstens Beds, with work from The Future Perfect.

Curated by Architizer, Cool Hunting, and Dwell, the Scale exhibit hosts a collection of items that explore the relationship between furniture and architecture, all while being scaled down to fit into a living room.

Makers & Brothers
Makers & Brothers are an Irish team that brought us a glimpse inside the making of a simple stool. Woodworker James Carroll sat in the front window of the cafe and set up shop. He worked away covering the floor in wood shavings and built stools for the duration of the exhibition, all of which were put up for sale at the end of the event.
The Future Perfect
Elsewhere in NoHo is The Future Perfect store, which showcased a new project by lighting genius Lindsey Adelman. They also happen to be the exclusive US dealer for Piet Hein Eek and his scrap wood work. They carry a lot of great work but Adelman's Clamp lights and her stalactite pieces really stood out.
