Your next toilet could save you more than just water—Gerber's new Viper also promises to save some space without sacrificing performance. On display at the International Builders' Show, the slim toilet can help you change a small space into a powder room.
A footprint that's 2- to 2 inches smaller than a typical elongated toilet's could be just enough to let it sneak into tight spots that might otherwise require a round-bowl model. At just 1.28 gallons per flush, the Viper uses some 20 percent less water than standard 1.6-gallon toilets and meets the EPA's WaterSense standards. A 3-inch flush valve and dual-siphon technology also help the gravity-feed Viper deliver fast, powerful performance, according to Gerber.
Gerber's Viper toilet is available nationwide through plumbing stores and costs $295 in white and $346 in biscuit. There's also a 10-year limited warranty on the flushing system--and a taller, comfort-height seat that's easier on the knees.
