At the age of twenty Jean Landry began a 20-year career as a modern dancer. This took her all around the world and provided her with an invaluable education of design and space. In her late twenties she moved towards a new career as a set decorator. Her love for creating environments for screen characters began to emerge. By imagining each character’s background, present and past experiences, and dreams Landry was able to convey this to the audience through design.
