What Can We Do to Improve Working Efficiency, and Try Best to Lower Producing Cost?

For people in Masonry and stone processing industry, the stone products quantities processed in unit time, can influence the production costs and profit. Stone CNC machine equipment is also the same situation. Then there is a question following on: what can we do to improve working efficiency, and try best to lower producing cost?

There are some learning experience that you could refer to.

To many people who do some stone engraving process, the most important thing is, define reasonable cutting parameters according to the engraved materials hardness & the router bits performance, that is what we usually said: feed per tooth.

For every material, the cutter has its biggest feed. When we make processing by cnc router lathe, try not to use the biggest feed; if it lasts long working time, the granite carving tools are easy to be damaged, and not wear very well. Besides, if set biggest cut depth, the feed rate will not be fast too during machining.

Another problem is, if set too fast, the tools are very easy to break too! So the best way is, we set 2/3 of the biggest feed per tooth, so flute mill using life will be much longer, also working speed can be much faster too. Moreover, in this way, it can save costs, improve producing efficiency as well.

We can also first make some rough machining then finish machining according to actual situation. During the rough tooling, try best to cut off all allowance, to save finish processing time; also can select mill bits materials with better work performance.

So for the work effect of granite cnc engraver router center, it is not only reflected in the machinery hardware configuration, but also demands us to accumulate process experience little by little, more and more, in order to improve the operating efficiency and productivity largely.

The views above are all concluded from my continuous real tests and some job experience. The summarization maybe different or even wrong in various environments, material quality, tooling demand, production costs, engineer professional degree, operating skills, etc factors or elements. If you have any questions, doubts, or some of my points you may not agree, or do not like and accepted, please tell me or email me of your opinions. I am very happy to communicate with you, to share or exchange process job project or experience, to help us make progress together!
