In an effort to reduce the carbon footprint, this building utilizes light from the sun while providing an exceptional amount of privacy. From the outside this may just look like an ordinary brick building, however as you move closer you may realize that there are petite spaces between each of the buildings exterior bricks. This hidden cover creates a unique play on shadow and light throughout the building's interior that allows for minimal usage of artificial light during the daylight hours.

The top of the building has an extended top feature with windows that expand the entire length of the building on both sides. This allows for optimal sunlight permeation through the middle sections of the building's interior. The building is located in Esplugues, Barcelona, Spain and was designed by Alonso Balaguer y Arquitectos Asociados Architects.
