Yes, we mean Glass Fireplace Logs, these are not “Gas Logs” or even glass pieces that you decorate your fireplace or fire pits with. These are actually fireplace logs made of glass. But how is that even possible?
These Glass Fireplace Logs are made to order by Ben Roth Glass. They use a special technique that includes “ impressing a real piece of wood into a specially-bound casting sand, then pouring 2300 degree F molten glass into the negative left behind.” Each 15 inch long glass log is four inches wide and even signed and numbered.
The logs were originally created for the 2006 Sunset Idea House and proved so popular that they decided to offer a limited edition collection. The best part is they don’t just look pretty but they can handle direct contact with flames.
