The German born artist Nils Voelker has turned to the cold cathode fluorescent lamp, and with it has created an interesting light installation. Cold cathode fluorescent lamp's are generally a low heat lamp (light bulb) that is used for the backlighting of LCD displays, like computer monitors and television screens.
In this light/art installation?Nils Voelker uses a?micro controller and?custom made electronics that regulate the power supply and the illumination on the lighting tubes.
