Introduction of Tagsys's System for The Textile Rental Services Market,1st Commercial

TAGSYS, the leading provider of item-level RFID infrastructure, announced the introduction of its total management system for the textile rental services market, the first commercial, off-the-shelf, end-to-end system to enable laundries and their customers to reduce linen abuse, regulate linen hoarding and accelerate their average time for return on investment.

1st RFID-based Management System for Textile Rental Market

TAGSYS will present its new offer at the upcoming Texcare International 2012 exhibition, the world's leading trade fair for the laundry, cleaning and textile rental markets, to be held May 5-9, 2012 in Frankfurt am Main.

Leveraging its world renowned expertise in RFID technology and the industry's leading knowledge in terms of textile identification and tracking and laundry business processes, TAGSYS is focused on providing a total management system based on a compete and scalable RFID-based infrastructure for item-level visibility and business optimization to the textile rental market.

The new system includes RFID technologies, materials, software and consulting services to satisfy the complete management and logistics process of the textile items from, to and within the laundry and its customers, all from a single source.

The system maps all the existing business processes and accurately tracks the RFID-enabled textile products through a complete database of all tagged items (i.e. owner, description...) that are in and out of the facility. It provides a detailed analysis of all the processes undergone by each tagged item all the way to the customer's site. It can be integrated seamlessly with existing business applications by providing synchronized communication links with the majority of ERP systems available on the market.

Through an innovative and flexible deployment model, customers can lease and buy the system. Because it is modular and scalable, the system can adjust to the growth of the business, and easily be reconfigured without additional technology investments; enabling customers to accelerate their ROI while reducing financial risk.

As part of the system, the recently introduced LinTRAK UHF RFID tag, a discreet woven label which can be seamlessly integrated into textile items, offers the best read performance, resilience and quality/price ratio on the market compared to other industrial tags. It can sustain pressure of up to 60 bars and a temperature of 200°C (392°F). It is guaranteed for 200 cycles or three years.

TAGSYS has also designed a unique and previously unmatched automatic processing cabin with automated doors that can identify entire trolley loads of tagged linens at one time upon entering or exiting laundry sites, providing a real answer to laundry requirements.

Further, because the TAGSYS system is cloud-based, TAGSYS can provide complete monitoring of the entire RFID infrastructure and issue immediate alerts in the case of any equipment issues. Textile rental companies can also provide accurate linen inventory reports to their customers, and even deploy RFID infrastructure at their customer sites to provide remote inventory monitoring services.

"TAGSYS has made considerable investments in the textile services and rental markets over the past decade, and designed this system to bridge laundries and their customers with a comprehensive textile product visibility process," said TAGSYS CEO, Alain Fanet. "This improved level of visibility and operational performance will enable them to dramatically improve inventory accuracy, reduce linen abuse and hoarding, and ultimately, improve the quality of service and customer satisfaction."

TAGSYS will design and install a quality RFID system that is reliable, fully integrated and complete. Further, TAGSYS can guarantee performance levels and provide proactive maintenance via its TAGSYS Total Managed Services (TMS) offering.
