50W MR-16 halogen bulb equivalent unmatched by any LED MR-16 drop in bulbs
LAS VEGAS,May 09,2012(BUSINESS WIRE)--TerraLUX Inc.announced today the unveiling of its new TLM-R16C LED Engine at Lightfair International 2012 in Las Vegas.Designed to replace 50W MR-16 halogen bulbs,the TLM-R16C is the first LED lighting solution that can be effectively used in sealed halogen fixtures.
Cost and energy efficient,the TLM-R16C delivers key design features including:LEDSense(R),Dynamic Transformer Recognition(TM)(DTR(TM))and Dynamic Bleed(TM).TerraLUX's revolutionary LEDSense(R)circuitry technology protects the LEDs in the TLM-R16C by lowering the power if the unit heats up beyond a safe operating temperature,preserving the lifespan and lumen maintenance of the LED Engine.
Compatible to the MR-16 diameter and 2-pin GX5.3 connection,the TLM-R16C's Dynamic Bleed(TM)and DTR(TM)components allow for the use of standard cost-effective magnetic or electronic halogen transformers and phase-dimmers while optimizing efficiency for each combination.The TLM-R16C can be used with most low voltage transformers,capable of handling 9.6--14.4 V AC/12--14.4 V DC input.
Additional features of the TLM-R16C module are 4 Lighting levels(600lm,425lm,300lm,210lm,equivalent to 50W,35W and 20W)that can easily be selected via a push button on-site and 3 beam angles(19 deg,34 deg and 60 deg).The TLM-R16C also offers 45 lm/W,CRI>80 or optional CRI>90,L70=60,000 hours,in addition to being FCC compliant,RoHS compliant and UL recognized.The TLM-R16C is available in 4 color options-2,700K,3,000K,3,500K and 4,000K.
