Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Kirchberg is set to introduce new tactile packaging technology at FachPack 2016 in Germany
The event will take place in Nuremberg from 27 to 29 September.
The company has developed novel solutions for tactile packaging. It incorporates tactile features such as relief and soft touch into their printing technology for flexible packaging
The tactile elements, which are an integral part of the designs, can be applied partially or across the entire surface of the product.
The company will showcase SkinTight film, which reduces food waste through extending product shelf life.
At the event, the firm will also exhibit Wentopro film that offers a high barrier against moisture and harmful mineral oils.
In addition, the company will showcase FleXtreme technique, which provides quality print compared to gravure with very high ink and colour density at competitive cost level
Clondalkin Kirchberg sales and marketing director Sander Kool said: “Traditionally packaging has been used for visual communication, but tactile is now recognised as an important feature for communicating with customers at the point of sale as well.
“This new tactile packaging technology allows brand owners to create a premium experience for the consumer when they handle the product; a critical step in the buying process.
“Brand owners can communicate certain product characteristics to influence the consumer’s perception and emotional connection, and have a positive impact on their buying behaviour.”
In Europe, Clondalkin Kirchberg supplies polyester lids, aluminium lids, shrink sleeves and coffee creamer lidding for a range of customers and applications.
Clondalkin Flexible Packaging operates 11 extrusion, printing and laminating and converting production facilities across Europe and North America.
