Müller UK & Ireland has introduced its first range of whipped Greek-style yogurt to be fat-free, available in three different flavours.
The initial three flavours available in the Müllerlight Kremas range are strawberry, mango & passionfruit, and raspberry & pomegranate.
The products will initially be available in supermarket Asda, with other retailers to follow in April and May.
Priced at £2.89, the Müllerlight Kremas products have been launched in a packaging size of 100g single flavour four-packs.
According to the dairy, the new range has been launched following the success of the Müller Bliss Corner and Müller Simply Bliss yogurt lines with consumers asking it for a lower calorie and fat free version.
Müller chief marketing officer Michael Inpong said: “The Müller Simply Bliss range has been an incredible success, winning Product of the Year in the 2017 yogurt category.
“Consumers have been asking us for a lower calorie and fat free version of this range, which contains the same unique whipped texture, deliciously creamy taste and has a range of exciting flavours. With Müllerlight Kremas we’ve achieved exactly that and we’re really excited to bring this into the market.”
Müller said that it wanted to tap into the whipped Greek style yogurt segment as it was found to have considerable potential to grow through its research. Müller UK & Ireland claims to see a potential £700m of growth in the yogurt category by 2020.
Müllerlight Kremas will be marketed via television ad campaigns that would begin from 17 April in the UK and from 1 May in Ireland.
Müller has also said that it has rolled out a new yogurt product in Müller Corner Goes Nuts, packaged in 135g singles and priced at £0.69.The new Müller Corner flavour comprises yogurt with pistachio flavour filled with real caramelised almond pieces.
