Major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel has announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Hubei Province-based car producer Dongfeng Renault Automotive Co Ltd. The agreement will cover five separate projects during the 2014-15 period. Accordingly, both parties will cooperate with each other in early vendor involvement (EVI), developing ultra-high strength steel and focusing on developing supply chains along the whole production process. According to the agreement, Baosteel will provide high value-added service for Dongfeng Renault.
