Epson Has Announced New Thermal Receipt Printer TM-L90 Liner-Free

Epson has unveiled its new thermal receipt printer TM-L90 Liner-free, which prints adhesive-backed receipts and provides an automated method for labeling food and drink orders. The system enables restaurants, cafes and coffee shops to do away with manual labeling processes including tape or grease pencils.

According to the Saudi company, users require only one printer model for their receipt printing and order-labeling needs, as the printer works with NCR RoL media or standard thermal receipt paper.

The printer, launched for consumers in the Middle East region, is compatible with NCR Receipt on Label (RoL) media and also with 40mm and 80mm paper widths. It detects paper width automatically helping users to switch media without changing the application.

The automatic top margin reduction feature of the TM-L90 Liner-free allows it to print the top of the next receipt prior to cutting the existing one when printing continues after auto-cutting.

Epson Middle East general manager Khalil El-Dalu said the TM-L90 Liner-free has been developed for customers who require a label with an adhesive.

"The TM-L90 Liner-free, combined with NCR RoL media, advances the way the food service industry delivers customer satisfaction. This environmentally friendly solution eliminates traditional labels with liner materials, and helps food outlets reduce food waste and labor costs resulting from inaccurate order processing," El-Dalu said.
