Taiwan-based panel maker AU Optronics(AUO)has announced that AUO Crystal,its solar material subsidiary,has obtained shares of AUO's Japan-based polysilicon subsidiary,M.Setek.
According to AUO,AUO Crystal secured around 20 million M.Setek shares with the price of JPY500/share(US$6.11/share)and a total investment of around JPY10 billion.
AUO Crystal has accumulated approximately 22 million M.Setek shares with a total investment of around JPY22 billion.AUO Crystal currently holds 93.49%of M.Setek shares.
