US based Hyper Industries has launched a tire traction system called Snowgripz to help drivers deal with tough road conditions during the winter.
The system consists of reusable, proprietary plastic treads and hooks and loop fasteners.
Users can attach five treads and fasteners to each drive-wheel which will allow the vehicle to drive through the snow.
Once the vehicle reaches a clear road the system can be removed and kept for future use.
Hyper will provide 10 reusable heavy-duty blue treads, 10 hook and loop fasteners, a pair of protective gloves, an installation hook, a pair of scissors and 20 cable ties for locking off each fastener in a single kit which costs around $60.
According to Hyper, the system is lightweight which makes them easy to store and it fits most passenger vehicles.
Hyper Industries CEO Brent O'Connell said: "SNOWGRIPZ is the best tire traction system on the market today because of its universal fit and easy installation - and, it doesn't damage vehicles or the roads.
"The flexibility of the tread material and strength of the hook and loop fasteners allow it to be used multiple times, providing an inexpensive, reliable solution that gives drivers safe passage to cleared roads. With SNOWGRIPZ in your trunk, you're prepared for the worst."
The company used KickStarter to fund the venture, with funding goal of $30,000.
