Reports out of the United Kingdom suggest Adidas is preparing a £60 million a year bid to take over the kit rights to the internationally known soccer club when Nike's current 10-year., £300 million contract expires in June 2015. Nike reported has the right to match any offer, but the Eager Beavertons are considered likely to pass. For the three months ended Dec.31, ManU retail, merchandise, apparel and product licensing revenues fell 4.2% to £9.1 million, which ManU attrituted to an adjustment to the full year profits by Nike.
Last month, in separate announcements, ManU announced the departures of COO Michael Bolingbrok and manger David Moyer as the perennial doormat Manchester City is in the thick of the race in second place. Moyer's replacement is expected to be named after the World Cup.
