Lee, the internationally famous denim brand, has roped in popular Japanese music producer and owner of Bape fashion label Nigo to create a special vintage-inspired collection.
Influenced from 1920s and 1930s workwear and the American label’s 1900’s archival pieces, the collection is comprised of three main looks, such as buckle back 131 and 101 cow boy jeans, and Whizit overall.
Made using raw denim fabrics, the capsule range features period details such as contrast stitching, Lee by NIGO embossed donut suspender buttons, and BY NIGO written leather patches.
The collection is slated to be launched soon and will be available for sale at select Japanese retailers.
The 43-year-old DJ turned designer Nigo launched his urban clothing line A Bathing Ape (Bape) in 1993. Before Lee, the designer-cum-musician has collaborated with popular brands like Pepsi, Coca Cola, Disney and Adidas to create extraordinary creations.
Founded in 1889, Kansas-based Lee specializes in both workwear and casualwear pieces. The company operates with a workforce of more than 400 employees in the United States.
