On April 27, Guangdong Zhanjiang East Sea Island steel and petrochemical recycling economy expert consultation meeting is held in Zhanjiang. Many Academicians and experts give advice on speeding up East Sea Island national recycling economy demonstration area construction and promoting East Sea Island steel and petrochemical industry green development path.
The consultation is organized and held by Zhanjiang Municipal Government. 9 Chinese Academy of Engineering academians and 9 invited experts including Chinese Academy of Engineering bureau honorary chairman, Chinese Academy of Engineering academian Xu Kuangdi, Chinese Academy of Engineering vice president, Chinese Academy of Engineering academian Gan Yong, Baosteel Group Corporation chairman Xu Lejiang, Sinopec senior vice president Zhang Jianhua, vice president Ray Dianwu, Zhanjiang municipal Party committee secretary Liu Xiaohua, mayor Wang Zhongbing, Guangdong Provincial Environmental Protection Department inspector Wang Zaikui and Zhanjiang municipal senior adviser Li Miaojuan participate in the consultation.
Baosteel Guangdong Zhanjiang steel base project and joint venture Guangdong refining-chemical integration project are the two major industrial construction projects that the CPC Central Committee and the State Council do to adjust and optimize China's heavy chemical industry productive force distribution and industrial structure and accelerate Pearl River Delta economic development in accordance with the country's overall development strategy during 12th five year period. Both bases are located in Zhanjiang East Sea Island. How to achieve complementary advantages between the two projects and the sharing of resources is the main topic of the consultation session.
During the consultation meeting, Baosteel Zhanjiang Steel general manager Sheng Genghong makes reports on Zhanjiang steel project overall plan and current progress, clean production measures, recycling economy development plan and idea and goals raised by Zhanjiang Steel such as "high resource utilization, low waste emission", "enterprise and society resource sharing and development fruit sharing". Academicians and experts put forward opinions and suggestions from technical, managerial and professional theoretical perspective on East Island resource-saving environment-friendly national recycling economy demonstration area building, how to develop recycling economy based on iron and steel and petrochemical two major projects.
Xu Kuangdi thinks that the simultaneous layout of steel and petrochemical two major projects at East Sea Island is enfused with the country's hope of achieving Zhanjiang's real green development in the East Sea Island and drawing a new map of recycling economy; is enfused with new and old steel and petrochemical workers' industrial transformation and upgrading dream. We must strive to create East Sea Island national recycling economy demonstration area. He points out that steel and petrochemical have much in common in terms of energy flow. We can first deal with area planning in this regard and do the easier issues first. To truly realize recycling economy, we not only need a consensus on the concept, but also achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation in terms of technology, equipment, etc. and strive at synchronous design and on-demand production.
Liu Xiaohua says that Zhanjiang City will fully cooperate with iron and steel and petrochemical project side and does well in recycling economy coordination service. With two recycling economy major projects as demonstration, it will promote recycling economy practice in more industries.
Xu Lejiang say that Baosteel is very optimistic about the prospects for the iron and steel and petrochemical recycling economy development. Baosteel has the responsibility as well as the capability to explore and practise industrial interaction, technology integration, positive interaction between sharing and co-buidling and recycling economy new path. He points out that Baosteel's aim is to build Zhanjiang Steel into a carbon steel premium product base which is modern, ecological, highly efficienct, reflecting recycling economy and conservation-oriented society concept, simple, efficient, low-cost and with international competitiveness. It is to build a eco-industrial park with clean production, resource conservation and good environment and demonstration area for the development of recycling economy. Baosteel will facilitate this work and create "green steel" with high sense of responsibility and mission. Baosteel will take the insights of experts as a guide for Zhanjiang Steel future action.
