Alexandrina Cheese Recalled Feta Cheeses Due to E.Coli Contaminationc According to FSANZ

Alexandrina Cheese has recalled four feta cheeses due to E.coli contamination, according to the Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ).

The products subject to recall include Fleurieu Feta Vacuum Pack, Marinated Feta - Mustard Seed, Marinated Feta - Chilli and Fleurieu Feta in Brine. The recalled products bear before dates between 15-04-13 and 13-09-13.

These products were manufactured in Australia. They were distributed to fruit and vegetable shops, Foodworks, IGA and other independent supermarkets in South Australia and Northern Territory (Alice Springs only).

Consumers who have purchased the recalled product are advised to return it to the place of purchase for a complete refund.

Consumption of food contaminated with E. coli may cause serious and potentially life-threatening illnesses. The symptoms include severe abdominal pain and bloody diarrhea.
