Taigang Stainless, the largest stainless steel producers in China planned to produce 3.4 million tonne of crude stainless steel in 2013, rising by 9.7% from 3.1 million tonne in 2012.
In 2012, Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group the parent company of Taigang Stainless produced 10.15 million tonne of crude steel including carbon and stainless steel, hitting the record high of the company.
In 2013, the group targeted to produce 11 million tonne, meaning its target for crude carbon steel would be at 7.6 million tonne.
